Maria started with Yoga in 2004 as a way to find some calm and to work with her body. When she met Basu in 2011 in Greece she was marveled by how much more Yoga was than what she had experienced so far. As a result she started a more regular asana practice, meditation and did a 2 years yoga teacher training with Yoga Vidya. In 2013 she got initiated into Kriya Yoga by Swami Shankarananda. She got impressed by Vipassana and Zen meditation and started Tantra Yoga sadhana under Guruji Rajkumars guidance in 2017.
